Bidding on Santa (Holiday Heartthrobs Novella Series Book 1) Page 5

Behind the mask, I closed my eyes and relaxed my jaw, taking him as far back as I could. The greatest thing to come out of my last relationship was that he taught me how to deep throat.

I took him down and swallowed around him. My throat working the length of his shaft. He wasn’t expecting it because he fell backward, his dick slipping from between my lips.

“Where did you learn that?” he croaked out.

“My ex preferred oral, so I got lots of practice.”

“I don’t know whether to be jealous as hell or thank the bastard for letting you go.”

“Thank him, and give me that cock back.” I scooted toward him again and played this time. Instead of taking him deep right off, I lapped at his tip, tasting a drop of cum.

I took him inch by inch, bobbing up and down, going a little bit further each time. My tongue dragging against his length. He hissed once when I let my teeth slightly graze his shaft, and I knew he liked it.

I was lost in his taste. The unknown was amazing. His hands in my hair guiding me as I went. Soon I didn’t really even have to bob my head anymore. He was just as lost as I was, fucking my mouth. I let him pound away and he did deep strokes and shallow fast pumps just to keep it going.

“I’m not wasting this, Kitten. Come here.”

I stood up and his mouth slammed down on mine. He backed up to a bench and sat down. Bringing me onto his lap. I groaned as he sank inside me.

  “Ride me. Make me cum.”

He ran his hands down my arms, the calluses scraping across my skin deliciously. He guided my hands behind my back pushing my breasts toward him.

“Don’t move them,” he said gruffly and went back to kissing my neck and working his way down. The position caused me to slow down to a gentler rocking motion. He pulled on my hair, my head going back. I needed more, so despite not having my hands, I started picking up my pace again – slamming his long length inside me.

When he got to my nipples, he lapped at them greedily, and sucked each one into his mouth – hard. My pussy spasmed around him, and I cried out as another powerful orgasm ripped through me.

“Fuck, that’s beautiful,” he said against my breasts, still kissing me. His hands bracketed my hips, and he helped guide me on him hard. He was doing most of the work from the bottom. I was pretty useless at this point, my body was wrung out with pleasure.

“One more, Kitten, then I’ll let you sleep.” He released my head and claimed my lips again, I brought my hands forward to rest them on his chest and helped to ride him. He didn’t correct me or tell me to put my hands back – together we both raced closer to the edge.

He slipped a finger between us and circled my clit, bringing me crashing down again.

“DO-” His lips clamped over mine before I could finish his name. I cried out into his mouth as each pulse of my passage around his cock milked him of his orgasm. Even after we both finished, he slowly rocked my hips – keeping his shaft inside me.

I collapsed against his chest – knowing this night would last forever in my memories.

She blew my mind. I know what happened with her ex, and I was glad he was shooting for the same team because he let her go. I know she was hurt by him, but he couldn’t give her what she needed anyway – even if he was straight.

I could give her what she needed and wanted, but after tonight, I was going to be the last man on earth she would ever let touch her again.

Call me a coward, but I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t lose my only shot at having her. I swapped her mask out for the extra one that was in the fantasy bag and made love to her one more time.

I held her until she fell asleep in my arms, relishing the feel of her body against mine. I stayed halfway through the night and left her with a note, too afraid for her to find out who I was.

Guilt weighed heavily on me. I’d lied to a sub. I’d lied to a woman I respected and cared for. In general, I was a man that never lied. It wasn’t a habit I made, but the thought of never having a chance with her again gutted me.

She was it for me. From how easy she fell in sync with me, I was for her as well. We could dive deeper into our world together if I could make her see me before she found out the truth.

Now, I just had to figure out how to make that happen.

  Christmas Day

I thought about him every day, and every night I replayed our one night together in my head. He left before I ever saw his face. He left before I could have a chance to say goodbye.

His letter was simple and straight forward, and it let me know that our night together was amazing for him too. Like a school girl, I kept it, and I read it many times since that night.

  Kitten,

Thank you for an incredible night. It will not be one easily forgotten.

  Sir

I never really told Robyn what happened that night, though she asked several times. She tried to bring it up a few times, but when I changed the subject, she let it go.

It was mine. My memory and his. We were the only two who knew how high we went and how incredible it was. The bruises he left on my body were fading, and I missed them. They were a reminder that it did happen and it wasn’t just a fantasy come to life.

Cocoa lay in bed with me, and I looked out the window at the white rooftops. Times like this really made me ache for a family of my own. I wasn’t getting any younger, and my biological clock was ticking.

The phone rang, I rolled over and grabbed it from its cradle. “Go talk to him,” Robyn said without even a hello.

  “No.”

“Dammit Katie! You haven’t been the same since that night. You haven’t told me shit about what happened. All you said was you had sex, so I assume that means he rocked your world. Go talk to him. He may feel the same way.”

“We agreed that it was one night, Rob.”

“And people never change their minds? What have you got to lose?”

  “My self-respect.”

“Funny, isn’t that the same thing you said the night of the auction?”

She had a point. I did, and it was the best night of sex I’ve ever had. I ached where I haven’t ever ached before, wanting him.

I hung up the phone, confirming lunch at one o’clock with Robyn and her family. It was barely nine. She did let me know he was working today at thirteen. It wasn’t his normal station, but they needed extra hands.

“Am I really considering doing this, Cocoa?” Her response was to lick my hand. “Ok.”

I got up, and got dressed. It was freezing outside, so I got into my jeans, and knee high boots. I wore a turtle neck and scarf under my winter coat. My makeup was lightly done, and I wore the minimum for jewelry – just a simple pair of earrings.

I debated a hat, but decided against it because I didn’t want hat hair when I saw his face for the first time. “Ok, Cocoa, wish me luck.” I scratched behind her ears before I walked out the door.

Thirteen wasn’t too terribly far from me, so I made it fairly quickly. Nerves were running rampant through my body, butterflies took up residence in my stomach. I shouldn’t be so nervous since I knew this guy intimately, but I was.

I parked in the back parking lot, and made my way inside through the back door. There were a few guys sitting and talking in the hallway.

  “Excuse me. Is Doug here?”

“Yeah, he’s in the dining room.” He pointed in the direction I needed to go, and I headed that way, ringing my hands together, twisting the fingers of my gloves.

There were a few guys in the room. None of which I recognized. They saw me enter, but none of them seemed to recognize me. “I’m looking for Doug.”

The two guys by the coffee pot looked at me like I was crazy. Then looked at the guy at the table. He was looking at me curiously.

The first thing I noticed, his eyes weren’t the color of whisky, and the second thing I noticed was he was stockier than my Santa.

“I’m sorry. Is there another Doug tha
t was a part of the auction last weekend?”

“No. I was supposed to be, but someone filled in for me.”

“Oh, ok. Well, who filled in for you, and how can I get in contact with him?”

He raised an eyebrow at me and grinned. “You could start by turning around.” I sucked in a breath. My heart felt like it was going to beat right out of my chest.

I closed my eyes took a deep breath and turned around. My voice stuck in my throat when I saw the man leaning against the door jam. I shook my head in denial. “No,” I finally croaked out.

  “Hello, Kitten.”

“How could you?” I said to Cory. NO! my head screamed.

He shrugged. “I’ll discuss this with you privately, Katie, but I’m not doing this here.”

“We aren’t discussing this at all. God, what a fool I was. Does Robyn know?”

He didn’t say anything, which was confirmation in and of itself. “I hate you.” I stalked toward him before I knew what I was doing, I drew back and hit him square in the jaw.

“Ow. Fuck!” I cried out. He barely moved from the force of my hit, but I looked down at my hand and it was clearly broken.

He moved quickly, grabbing my hand, but I pulled it away. “NO! You will never touch me again.” I was crying and the other guys came to stand between us and look at my hand.

“Cory, you can sort this shit later, but get gone,” one of the firefighters said. They loaded me up in one of their trucks and took me to the hospital.

“Anyone you want us to call?” the real Doug asked me.

“No, no one. I don’t have anybody.” Not even a best friend, I added silently.

  Prologue

Christmas in the ER – how fucking perfect. I wish I could rewind the past hour and stay in my bed curled up with Cocoa – that would be amazing.

Unfortunately, I didn’t stay home. Nope, my ass thought it would be perfect to seek out my Santa on Christmas day to see if he would like another go round, or more. Only, my Santa was the last man I wanted him to be.

Cory. I growled as the nurse pushed an IV into my arm. Fucking hell my hand hurt, and he didn’t even wince when I hit his jaw. Prick. Just another reason for me to hate the arrogant asshole.

How could I not have known? Why the hell didn’t Robyn say anything? When I get ahold of her… They gave me a syringe filled with pain killers, and my world went hazy. I tried to hold on to my anger, but dammit, I was slipping under.

When it comes to pain meds, I am a light weight. It doesn’t take much to make my ass happy, nor does it take much to knock me out. The x-rays revealed the break was bad enough for me to need surgery.

“What did you hit?” The nurse asked me.

“Santa.” I grumbled. Fucking Cory. I fucked Cory. I growled again.

“Ma’am have you been drinking?” The nurse asked as if it were impossible that I decked the fat jolly guy in a red suit, but that’s not really what happened. I decked an imposter, and all the fantasies I’d had were doused by a pair of whiskey colored eyes.

“No. I could use a drink though. Just no whiskey. Whiskey is dangerous, like his eyes, and you can’t see through whiskey. You don’t know what you’re getting until the beard comes off. Vodka is clear though, you can see through vodka. I’d like some vodka.”

“Ok ma’am. Maybe when you get out of the hospital huh?”

“Let’s see how much alcohol is in her system.” I heard the nurse speaking with someone else.

Whatever, they’d soon find out that I’m sober, well I was until they put me on pain meds, but I needed the pain meds. They helped dull the pain in my heart as well as my hand.

Of all people, why did Cory have to be my Santa? Santa fucking sucks.
